Thanks for posting!

I've read some good books lately but have been behind on doing reviews. I'll try to do that soon (it's been on my mental to do list for a while).the Drunken Housewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14606104534453493304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25324039.post-59862760308700538912008-10-16T22:33:00.000-07:002008-10-16T22:33:00.000-07:00I am sorry to say that I cannot agree with your re...I am sorry to say that I cannot agree with your review of The Ruins. I read it shortly after I read all of your blog posts, expecting to be genuinely horrified, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The story was so fantastical that it became unbelievable.
However, I plan on reading Eating People is Wrong by Malcolm Bradbury (which you have also spoken highly of) and I hope that I agree with you on this book. I love your blog and have been a silent fan for a very long time now.nmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04988241169272625617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25324039.post-1154096612391135522006-07-28T07:23:00.000-07:002006-07-28T07:23:00.000-07:00I don't subscribe to WSJ, but when I have a chance...I don't subscribe to WSJ, but when I have a chance to read it I start with the far-left column on the front page. That usually has some very good journalism.Freewheelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05882672545710899282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25324039.post-1154027222909879052006-07-27T12:07:00.000-07:002006-07-27T12:07:00.000-07:00Heh. What I read, normally, is the front page, the front page of each other section, the Mossberg column on technology, the "Green Thumb" column on personal finances, and most of the lifestyles section. My husband and I are addicted to the journalism; we were loving the options-backdating scandal the WSJ broke right when our subscription ran out. After about a month of going without (due to budgetary concerns), he snapped and resubbed us, just in time for the WSJ to give me nightmares. I still feel a bit off.the Drunken Housewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14606104534453493304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25324039.post-1154025064731929422006-07-27T11:31:00.000-07:002006-07-27T11:31:00.000-07:00After I read the title of your post, I mistakenly ...After I read the title of your post, I mistakenly assumed that you had read one of their editorials.Freewheelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05882672545710899282noreply@blogger.com
